VolunteeringRocket Rescue is an all-volunteer group and we rely on a network of loving, private homes to provide a safe haven for dogs and cats until they are adopted. We are currently seeking general volunteers and new foster homes for dogs and cats. Fostering takes a considerable amount of time, dedication, caring and patience as well as adaptability and ability to deal with young, old, and injured pets. Providing a loving home for a foster cat or dog is well worth the effort and you will be rewarded for all your effort. Our cats and dogs may be owner surrenders, strays or transfers from large shelters so there are a lot of unknowns with each pet and you will need to be patient and willing to provide extra TLC until your foster pet becomes comfortable. Please remember that you are making a commitment. We almost never have empty spots to move pets quickly if you change your mind; the need is so great that we use every possible spot to help as many pets as possible. All volunteer positions have a minimum age requirement of 18 years.

If you are not able to foster, but would like to take on other volunteer roles for Rocket Rescue, please submit a Volunteer Application and we will get you set up! We provide the training for all volunteer positions, so no prior experience is required. There are a lot of ways that you can be a part of the life-saving work we do!
